Der Countdown Läuft...

As of right now, I have 51 days and 18 hours until I board the plan that will take me from Detroit to New York, effectively beginning the first leg of my journey!

At the moment, I feel nothing but excitement but all the time I'm waiting for it to hit me, to smack me in the face- I'm moving to Germany! For a year! I still remember deliberating about whether or not to even apply for this program, yet here I am. Fifty-one days seems like a long period of time, but I know it will fly by quickly. Soon I'll be off on the other side of the globe, traveling and becoming more worldly (and hopefully bettering my Deutsch, too!)

I don't know if I'm quite ready yet...
